Valentine 2012

Valentine's Day... It is a day where couples celebrate their relationship. A day where couples have simple dinner to spark their fire of relationship. Although valentine is just one day, but relationship last a lifetime. This is also a day where I show my dear how much I love her.

My surprise gift to her

During February 14, where everybody is working couples just could have a dinner for themselves and gotta sleep early since the next day is a working day. I on the other hand had the pleasure to have my dear for one day and we can enjoy it to the fullest since its during the weekend. We started our day during lunch time since my piggy sleep till so late (blerk). Where we go is have lunch in Tak Fok, Jaya One since she loves to eat crab so much.

First time I saw snacks serve is meat type

Us

Main dish.. The butter and milk crab.... Very nice

After lunch we get to try out a dessert at a slice of heaven. But my dear said it is a little bit too sweet. Maybe it's true but Valentine cakes is suppose to be sweet isn't it? haha.

Where we bought the cake

Red Velvet cupcake. Top is filled with cheese but the bottom is red in color

We get some rest back home after lunch to rest because we have a lots of activities at night. I somehow prefer to enjoy my time at night. Is it because I love night time where it is very peace and quiet and there is no jam!! lol.. After our lunch we will quite full but we are gonna have a buffet seafood for dinner. What a full of food it is.

Phototaking before we leave

We have reach our destination

Dessert area

 Deep fried and BBQ area

We have steamboat too

Thank you dear for cooking hehe

BBQ chicken

Steamboat vegetables

BBQ seafood

Nelayan village is the first restaurant where BBQ, steamboat and deep fried all combined together. Unfortunately, their style uses Malay kind of style. It is nice to eat but the seafood is not very fresh as well. We were so full we only eat vegetables for steamboat. In my opinion, I'm happy I ate full for lunch because dinner is just right. :)

After dinner, we're off to watch a movie. During the starting of the day when my dear woke up, she wants to watch "The wedding diary". But unfortunately I need to tell her that we are not watching because I actually bought the same movie tickets for after dinner. The look of her face when I say we couldn't watch movie was very sad. But I know she would be happy when she get to watch in the end.

The movie I planned for us to watch

When we reach Tropicana City, I shocked to see the amount of cars in that place. I have to look for parking almost 45 minutes. (This just destroy my image of a peace and quiet night where there is no jam). When I almost gave up, suddenly a car just reverse at my sight. Ended up we manage to park close to the elevator.

After the movie, she really cried like a baby. I have to admit to the movie is really touching and funny at the same time. Our next activity suppose to be watching Arsenal destroy Sunderland. I was hoping Thiery Henry could have give some pointers to the players on how they could be the world most indestructible team again. So before the match, we camwhores while we wait.

You look really pretty

I got a surprise present from my dear too. And I really love it Thank you my dear

All of a sudden, my dear got herself a headache. Oh gosh, I need to massage her to get her cured. Suddenly she doze off ( hey, I thought we're watching Arsenal). So I kiss her goodnight while I watch the first half of the match. OH MY GOD how could they play like that?? It's worse than playing with second devision. After losing 1-0 I knew there wouldn't be hope. I rather spend my quality with my dear hugging her.

And so there ends my whole valentine day. I know it isn't much but I've learn that most important of the valentine is to spend with the person you truly loved. And I'm really happy to have you as my valentine.

Just Because I Love You

Happy Valentine's Day My Dear

My Chinese New Year at the end

It has been a wonderful and tiring Chinese New Year indeed. Normally singles will celebrate their Chap Goh Meh by throwing oranges into the sea with their contact no. while the couples and families enjoy their companies with each other.

As for me, I went on a group trip to Langkawi with my girlfriend and her colleagues. It is the very first time I have met most of them but nevertheless it is interesting to meet them as well. Why? Because the people who would be friends with my girlfriend will not be that bad since she is known to have attract people with funny and crazy personalities. But the crazy thing though is that I need to wake up as early as 4.00am in the morning. WHAT?!?!??!? How many times have I woke up at such early hours in such short time is a miracle.

So on the early Monday morning on the 15th day of Chinese New Year. Up we are off to her workplace. Surprisingly, we're the 2nd car to arrive. Thought we would be late. From there onwards, off we go to Kuala Kedah to board the ferry to the island of eagles.

Getting ready for our one hour boat ride

Once we arrive, a huge relief we were where we reach the jetty after a long day trip.

Langkawi

Then we went to rent cars that could fit approximately 30 people. Fortunately for me though, I get to drive the 2nd best car that they could provide us which is the Nissan Sentra. I'm glad the car was in a quite good condition despite some problems with the petrol latch in the beginning.

Once we get the cars and the passengers from the jetty, off we went for lunch and boy my stomach is really hungry. We stop by near a Thai Restaurant that were run by Malays Overall, the food is just moderate. One good thing that I got from that place is actually the view. The restaurant is facing one of the spectacular view in front of a lake.

Great Views

We then reach our home stay where it will fit 30 people in one place. The place is amazing since it is very well furnished and well decorated. Once we wash up and taken our rest, our tour began starting from the bird park, beach of black sand, then to the cable car and lastly to Perdana Quay.

1st stop: Bird Park
The place is really nice place to visit where you can see not just birds but various animals in there. Moreover, the birds a free to roam and for us to touch. You could even catch them to take pictures if you are able to (bird food is encouraged).

2nd stop: The land of the black sand
Legend says that this black sand isn't black sand in nature. The locals tells the story that this sand turned black is due to the war happened years ago where the fire burnt most of the area and thus the black sand is discovered.

This pic is really beautiful

3rd stop: Cable Car
This is one place where people should stop and take a visit if they are there for the first time. This cable car is 1.7km long at 650meters above sea level. There are 2 stations where the first station is the half way stop to take breathtaking shots of the island. The next station is the overview of Langkawi from the peak. In addition, there is the hanging bridge for tourist to hike which consists approximately 125 meters long. At the end of the bridge you will get to see a mountain that is famously quoted as the "Breast" mountain.

Off to sit the cable car

She claims the mountain looks like someone's breast. Her's maybe?

By the look of her hand, she is really scared. All sweating

Final stop: Perdana Quay
For those who has been to Clarke Quay in Singapore or Strait Quay in Penang, this shouldn't be a surprise area for you. This place is very similar where tourist would enjoy their dinner or to have a bottle of beer while enjoying the sea view. It is also where some yacht owners park their boats. There is also the controversial boat who prayed Jesus for the route back home when he lost his navigation.

Soon that yacht is mine!

After the tour, we head home to have some refreshments and to bath. Next, we are then dress up for the beach. Not only that, a bbq beach party is prepared for us to enjoy the food and the company together.

The refreshments

The crab too wanna have a drink

After the dinner, we head home all tired and contented to bath once more before some of us hit our hay while some play some games. But overall our first day reach it's end and we are all sleeping to prepare ourselves for another exciting next day.

The next morning, most of us are up at around 6 something to 7 in the morning. This is quite a difficult task since most of us sleep at around 1am last night. But once all of us are up and have our heavy breakfast of Maggi mee and nasi lemak, our next destination is island hoping. First, we went to Beras Basah Island to play by the beach and monkey~ing around.

Up and off in the morning

The only successful picture where everyone jumps

She caught a little baby crab to play with

Totally fascinated by it

Posing time

Next we went to the middle of the sea to look at how the famous eagles catch their food in the water. It is amazing how eagles could just float around the sky and wait for the right time to catch their food at the right time.

The trademark of Langkawi

Lastly we went to Tasik Dayang Bunting to play with water and have some refreshments. This name is thanks to the hills are placed at the right angle which portrays a lady who is pregnant lying down at the sea.

Does it look like a pregnant lady?

Us after playing water

After the island hopping, we have the fast lunch in Mcdonalds so that we can shop for our liquors chocolates and cigarettes. After a tiring shopping moment, off we went to the landmark of Langkawi, Dataran Lang, where the statue of eagle is located.

After the photoshoot session, it is time to head home. Can't believe time passed so quickly when all is having laughs. As for me, I get to stay in Penang for one last day before I head home to KL and even on that day I feel sad because I spend so little with her. I know it seems a lot ( 5 days to be exact ) but it is never enough to spend with your love ones. Hope to spend with you again my dear. Can't wait for our next activity together.
